Meet The 6K Team

Sarah Shearer

Sarah Shearer

Heroes in Recovery 6K Manager

Sarah’s event management background ranges from short distance 5Ks to triathlons to long distance ultra marathons. She brought her passion for endurance sports to FRN in 2014. Shearer is thrilled to lead the Heroes in Recovery 6K team in continued growth. One of her most notable experiences with the company occurred directing the 2016 Leiper’s Fork Heroes in Recovery 6K, as the hometown event experienced 102% growth and is the largest race to have been held by the company. Sarah and the Heroes 6K are always busy preparing to put on exceptional company events, however, she also enjoys competing in races. In 2016 she ran her first 60 mile trail ultra through the Rockies and in 2017 ran the Grand Canyon from rim to rim. After she’s had a chance to nap, Shearer also paints, draws, and loves spending as much time as possible exploring the outdoors.
