Michael started his journey to recovery in 2010, and he struggled to finally reach sobriety. No matter what he did, he just couldn’t stay clean and sober. No matter what he did, he kept losing everything he had. He still struggles with alcohol, but he does not give up. He knows where to go for help and that he has to reach out. He does not give up trying.
“You must allow God to do his job,” he says. Michael has trouble listening to advice, but that doesn’t cause him to give up. His recovery has been a ride so far, and he hopes he will soon find balance and win his battle. Michael is tired of relapsing and wants to live free from substances. He took part in recovery month activities so he could meet sober people again. He is proud he took that step and is reaching out to other sober people. It may be the beginning of a better future.
