- Drugs
I have a story. My life was turned upside down when my mom passed away in 1994. Cancer took my best friend away from me. I took care of her for two years after my dad passed in 1992 from leukemia. I turned to some old friends I should of stayed away from. I got mixed up doing things I never thought I would ever do. I pushed my real friends and family away and to this day I regret every bit of it. I got addicted to meth and drank like a fish. If I could turn back the clock, I would do so.
I got help in 1995 from 12-step meetings and I now have a second chance at life. People still think I am a loser, but I know that I am a good person with my second chance. I now have 18 years of sobriety, thanks to God and to all those who believe in me. I am very blessed.
