- Drugs
- Friends & Family
I have been on my recovery journey for two years. My family had a big influence on my journey into recovery. My turning point came when I realized that everything I was doing was influencing my friends and my family. My mom has encouraged my recovery. She told me that if I did not start changing, she could not help me anymore. Before that I did not see the effect my using had. Drugs can ruin your life, and they are very harmful to yourself and others.
I am proud that my life is changing although I still struggle to not pick up a drug. I meditate and work out to get through those rough moments.
Keep striving to meet your goals. Goals help you a lot. It is a great feeling to look at yourself in the mirror and say, “I did this, and I am living a good, clean life!”
