Marcus has been on his journey of recovery for six years. It hasn’t always been easy for him. It was difficult until he finally got more comfortable with himself. A big turning point was realizing miracles had occurred in his life. He found a relationship with his creator, and his spirituality grew. Marcus currently lives in a sober living community to stabilize his recovery and learn more skills to manage his life and sobriety.
Marcus is proud that he is working and helping others achieve sobriety and succeed in all areas of life. It is very satisfying for him to attend 12-step meetings and share life and recovery with his fellows. At times he still struggles with his standards for healthy relationships and friendships and is working on this.
He says, “Don’t give up! Even if you don’t succeed at first, recovery is possible for all.”
