My loved one felt lost and not in place. She tried her soon-to-be demons for the first time, and these demons, drugs, slowly consumed her and dragged her down until everything became uncontrollable, and everything was out of place. The turning point in this situation came when she honestly just couldn’t screw up any more. Trust me, she screwed up plenty of times, screwed up until she was in a funk that she wasn’t able to pull herself out of. This brought not just her down. Everyone else that cared about her was going down with her. That is the sad part about addiction, when the person that has the problem thinks it’s just their problem. It’s honestly just as hard or harder on the people that are in their everyday life.
She learned drugs are never the answer for anything. These things we call drugs are the demons that surround our world. They destroy lives and families and even take some of the greatest people in this world. She found a great six-month program that fit and met our criteria. Life these days is more hopeful, and there is a lot less anxiety. Everything is a lot better financially, and there is no more fighting or constant heat in our everyday lives. My loved one is finally okay, and there isn’t a constant worry in the back of my head.
Never give up support for your loved one, because this is a disease. Your loved one doesn’t want this just like everyone else doesn’t want this. Be done giving up on the ones you love. Never give up hope; there is always hope.
